Where is Love and Translation filmed? American bachelors had to leave country for love Mon 22 January 2024 08:00 Celine Byford
TLC’s Love and Translation is a new series where American bachelors leave their home country to find true romance. It’s a big help the filming location is the perfect place to meet non-English women.
Think The Bachelor, but add in the difficulty of communicating with foreign women from all over the world. TLC‘s Kahlil Haughton, Dylan Hodge and Tripp Bromley are the three men doing just that.
Where is Love and Translation filmed?
Love and Translation is filmed in the Dominican Republic. The actual beach house is in the Cap Bonita area in Las Terrenas, located inside a gated community featuring a tranquil pool and amazing views.
Playa Bonita is a seaside villa in the area, which is up for sale at a staggering $2,500,000 and has four bedrooms, with beautiful scenery and a field area where visitors can go for cute picnic dates – or the nearby beach!
One of the three American Bachelors, Dylan, hails from Miami, where his family resides. His mother is from Belize, where Dylan spent his childhood, which has influenced his decision to meet a foreign lady.
Filming location with ‘mesmerising’ view
Love and Translation’s filming location captured TLC viewers instantly. When the premiere aired on Sunday, January 21, the “mesmerizing” resort was quickly added to fans’ holiday list.
One contestant travelled there all the way from Japan, but once they make a commitment, each couple will have to face the challenge of navigating a distance relationship.
Watching #Loveandtranslation and the show location in Dominican Republic is just beautiful !!! So mesmerized by the beauty of this resort beach house🥰

Translation devices offer helping hand
Each contestant on Love and Translation was given a translation device which speaks in their ear in a known language in real time, allowing them to communicate and understand a conversation.
French, Italian and Spanish are all languages featured on the devices, but the men are exempt from being able to communicate with the girls via the devices. Instead, they’ll have to use body language.
This made romance even better! Tripp told ET: “I learned how to communicate on deeper levels, to the point, like, man, if words were used in this scenario we may not have connected the same way.”
Asking for a friend, but where is this happening? Did anyone catch the name of the resort in the Dominican Republic?#LoveAndTranslation
