“Where Is Our Love Song” by Stevie Wonder

“Where Is Our Love Song” is similar in sentiment to a well-known track Stevie Wonder dropped in 1976 which is comprehensively entitled “Love’s In Need of Love Today”. And thematically, it represents a stance that the musician has held throughout his musical career. And that is a need for an increase in sympathy between fellow men. As such, the “love song” he is referring to in the title isn’t of the amorous variety. Rather what the singer is espousing is that “humankind” become more loving to one another. And for the record, this is a tune which Stevie literally held onto for over half a century. But he felt that, given the current state of the world, the time was ripe to release this type of a track.

Being released on 13 October 2020, this is one of two inaugural tracks which Stevie Wonder has released under his own imprint, So What the Fuss Music. And he did so in conjunction with its parent label, Republic Records.
