In a recent interview, Tsunoda was asked by Red Bull Japan who is the person he talks the most to. The Japanese race driver replies with, “My Girlfriend.”
The former Alpha Tauri duo created an unbreakable bond while serving the Faenza-based team for two years together. With Gasly leaving Red Bull’s sister team, they don’t share the same proximity but still have the same bond.

Many even speculated (in humor only ) that they were in a romantic relationship. In response, the duo also played along with the fans on social media. Such a display only shows how good their friendship has been over the last few years.
When Yuki Tsunoda once revealed he had a girlfriend
The Japanese race driver was once asked about his dating life, and surprisingly he was open about it. In a Twitch stream back in 2022, he was quizzed about whether the AlphaTauri star has a girlfriend. To this question, Tsunoda replied with an affirmative.
Then he got a follow-up query- for how long he has been dating that person. Tsunoda revealed that it had been two months. Coming to the present, if Tsunoda is talking about the same person, then his relationship is more than a year long.
Though, he has never revealed her girlfriend’s identity and has never been seen with her on the paddock, unlike other F1 WAGs. Maybe in the future, once he feels more settled, he could reveal who he is seeing so far.

Bad start to the season, but there is hope
Tsunoda is in the third year of his F1 career, and with Gasly gone, he was expected to take charge of his team. However, so far, AlphaTauri has been giving underwhelming performances and currently lies P9 on the table.
Tsunoda has brought the only points to them because of his back-to-back P10 finishes in Australia and Azerbaijan. On the other hand, the Japanese race driver also got praise for his performance by Kevin Magnussen in Saudi Arabia, even though it brought no reward to him.
Certainly, Tsunoda has improved himself significantly since last year. However, the Red Bull hierarchy would expect more from their sister team. Now it remains to be seen how Franz Tost, who would be serving his last year as team principal in the team, raises the performances.
